Guest guest
Barbara, I live in a tiny town just west of Ottawa. I love Gardenburgers, although my daughter doesn't like them. She loves the seasoned tofu burgers we get at our local health food store. She is 16 and has recently begun to appreciate Indian food, although at times the spice is a little much for her. We do not have access to many restaurants in my town, but the Health Food store has begun to buy frozen entrees from an Indian restaurant and offer them for sale. It's really nice because the owner is vegetarian and her employee is vegan, so they always try the new things first. Living in a small town they can pretty well judge which new foods will be a hit or miss in our home. Guest guest
Hi Neale and Coleen, We have a costco and that is where I buy the veggie burgers made with portabello mushrooms and the veggie dogs they are the brand Veggie Patch. I never saw the garden patch but I will look for them the next time I go. Are they frozen or fresh? It seems that the costco here only carries them in the summer months. Guest guest
Barbara, I have bought the same meatballs made with portabello mushrooms. I keep them in my freezer for the times when we are invited out for supper. It's easy to grab and the person doesn't have to feel bad about cooking something for you, because you've brought your own entree. In this same section you can buy vegetable samosas. These are not good if you are vegan as I believe there is cottage cheese in them. I grab the samosas if we are going out to play cards or board games, etc. at a friend's. Most people like them because they are a little spicy, a new flavour, and a treat food. I figure it gives vegetarianism a good name! The Gardenburgers are in the frozen food section. At the west end Ottawa Costco, they carry them year round. They are in a green box.
