Guest guest
Welcome into the group. Don't forget veing vegetarian or vegan isn't a weightloss diet so watch your calories. we you eating a lot of meat? Cheese? This could be your past downfall. I've heard many people say being vegetarian has helped them drop the pounds. It worked wonders on my youngfer nephew since he was a McDonald's and pounds of cheese eater. When he started using veg burgers, and vegan cheese products he lost almost overnight. Whole Foods has Tofutti. Guest guest
Well, I've mainly been eating veggies, fruits, rice & pretzels. I've been drinking more water & a little tea & I'm not drinking Diet Dr. Peppers every day either. I haven't given them up completely but I'm making progress. Anyways, I feel better & know that I'm making healthier choices especially by cutting down on fat. Rhoda On 8/25/07, Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > > Welcome into the group. Guest guest
My friend's husband became a vegetarian a few months ago. He's done really well at not eating any meat, but he's not using any kind of other self-control as far as his diet. He still eats lots of fried stuff and all and wonders why he's not losing any weight! I know that I have to be careful myself - sometimes it's so easy to say " well, it's vegetables, so it doesn't matter if I cover it with Creamy Italian dressing " . You really have to be aware of how you prepare the food and watch out for those other fats and stuff that sneak in there. I also have a hard time losing weight because of years of anorexia and now I have had my thyroid removed so my body goes into the " starvation mode " a lot quicker than most people. But if I am careful about the fat grams, I can lose weight easily. _____ On Behalf Of Donnalilacflower Saturday, August 25, 2007 4:25 PM New to group Hi Rhoda Jayne Welcome into the group.
