I made instant banana creme pudding with rice milk two hours ago & it hasn't

begun to firm up yet. Will it not work in the place of milk? It's supposed

to be soft-set in 5 minutes. I guess we can drink it through a straw,lol!

I've had the same thing happen when I tried making it with soy milk. Enjoy the

drink. LOL

begun to firm up yet. Will it not work in the place of milk? It's supposed

to be soft-set in 5 minutes. I guess we can drink it through a straw,lol!

my friend's husband also has. I'm thinking maybe you need to use less milk,

maybe follow the pie filling directions. I just haven't thought to buy any

more pudding mix lately!

Yep it happened to me before. The milk fat makes it set. I did try it

with a rich soy milk and used less. I think it was Silk brand.

Drink it it will taste good, honsetly.

I know that you need to use half as much soymilk as a pudding recipe calls

for, as soymilk contains amino acids that inhibits the pudding from setting

up.

 

But rice milk? Hmmm....didn't know that.

Thanks everyone~ DH is drinking is 'pie' now,lol! He doesn't know that it

didn't have real milk in it,lol!
