Try the non-instant kinds. Better product with better taste. ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
Guest guest
I made instant banana creme pudding with rice milk two hours ago & it hasn't begun to firm up yet. Will it not work in the place of milk? It's supposed to be soft-set in 5 minutes. I guess we can drink it through a straw, lol! -- Rhoda Jayne
Guest guest
I've had the same thing happen when I tried making it with soy milk. Enjoy the drink. Guest guest
I've run into the same problem with soy milk and instant pudding mixes and my friend's husband also has. I'm thinking maybe you need to use less milk, maybe follow the pie filling directions. I just haven't thought to buy any more pudding mix lately! _____ On Behalf Of Rhoda Jayne Saturday, August 25, 2007 4:10 PM rice milk question I made instant banana creme pudding with rice milk two hours ago & it hasn't begun to firm up yet. Guest guest
Yep it happened to me before. The milk fat makes it set. I did try it with a rich soy milk and used less. I think it was Silk brand. Drink it it will taste good, honsetly. Guest guest
I know that you need to use half as much soymilk as a pudding recipe calls for, as soymilk contains amino acids that inhibits the pudding from setting up. But rice milk? Hmmm....didn't know that. On 8/25/07, Rhoda Jayne <Rhoda.Jayne wrote: > > I made instant banana creme pudding with rice milk two hours ago & it > hasn't > begun to firm up yet.
