Re: hi Kathy

I think you need to make another appointment with your doctor and go in with

a list of questions written down(so you don't forget them), so all of this

can be clarified fully for you. They should have given you a diet sheet to

follow. I've worked with several doctors over the years and we had a lot of

different diet sheets that we gave out to the patients, depending on their

medical situation. You'll definitely can't go wrong with a vegetarian diet

as long as it contains a variety of good healthy food and not junk foods.

However there may even be foods within the vegetarian diet that are off

limits to you depending on your medications and medical issues, so it is

VERY IMPORTANT to nail him down with specific answers for you.

As for the clothes, thrift stores and goodwill stores have some very good

clothes for very little money. Many times they still have tags on the

clothes and have never been worn.

Check with your pharmist for drug companies that offer free med's to

patients in different finacial brackets. They will be able to give you the

information to get set up.

Also if you have a Kroger Grocery store in your area, they are offering a

huge list of prescription medications for FREE with a prescription for it

from a doctor. I think it is the same list of medications that Wal-Mart and

Target Pharmacies are offering for $4.

Anyway, I wouldn't tary with your decisions. Life is much to precious.

Hi KAthy,

It's so important you eat right for your health. I

found a support group for you, it's active and

been around since 1999

We aren't a health group for your condition and there

are many things involved with your heart, I don't know

if you are diabetic, to be on no salt diet, etc. Did

the doctor give you a list of foods to avoid, did he

recommend you talk with a nutritionist?

Even if you become vegetarian you would have to know

what to eat and what to avoid, dairy? eggs? How many

calories a day?

I wish you all the luck and good healthy in the world.

Avoiding meat, dairy and eggs would certainly be a

step in the right direction.

For almost any dis-ease, it is hard to go wrong with massively

increasing the steamed greens in the diet.

Your heart isn't pumping blood like it should because of the HA's you had. Your

oxygenated blood must be very low and you'll have a very hard time walking or

doing anything. My mom has just had to have her heart pacemaker replaced for a

3rd time. She always can tell when it is starting to fail, because she can

hardly walk or get up and down to do anything. This last time she had a

differnt heart doctor and their staff made her wait for 5 weeks before she could

come in and let them check on it. UGHHHH......... I can't stand it that the

sick folks have to be such a strong advocate for getting seen and finding out

about things going on with their health. She didn't tell me about this until

she had finally gotten to go. I told her that next time she just needs to tell

them that she is coming in and will stay there until she is seen THAT DAY!.

Sometimes I think the front office staff have no idea how serious the situations

are that folks are in. She had a complete heart block that day they finally saw

her............
