Guest guest
I am glad to hear that you got a 2nd opinion. I suggest that after you get the test results you speak with a registered dietician to make a dietary plan. I have trouble with iron occasionally too, I don't know why it is some times more than others, there isn't any difference in my diet. I've been anemic off and on since I was 5, after a bout of pneumonia which supposedly also brought on my allergies. I had dark circles for years too, always had cats and always been allergic to them (as well as most anything else). I'll be interested to hear the results of all the tests. Sleep well! Guest guest
Well I went to the pediatrician for a second opinion and she said what everyone says her guess would be allergy shiners. She recommended testing if I was concerned especially for cats. But also she said that if it doesn't bother the kids then there wasn't a reason to do a medication. My little one is sick 1/3 of the year with running nose, coughing, itchy eyes so it bothers him. She also want to test iron since myself and our 11 year old have been low even when we ate meat. With the weight loss she wondered if our 11 year old was allergic to wheat since he is also short for his age, has suffered with stomach issues but as she said wheat is in everything. So the plan is right now to test for iron issues on September 11 and go from there. One thing I disagreed with is she wanted them to drink skim milk and said rice milk was nutritionally useless. She said soy milk is a whole protein so that would be better. Everyone has such heated opinions about soy these days I don't know who to trust or follow.
