Hey all..

Someone asked what baked beans on toast was?

It refers to having toast, buttered and then Heinz Baked Beans (or

similar) put on top...I often add melted cheese too but that's a

personal preference.

Heinz Baked Beans are beans that come in a can with tomato sauce. There

website is here: http://www.heinz.co.uk/products/heinz_baked_beanz.aspx.

There are other brands...like all the supermarkets here have there own

brand...

Basically it's a really easy cheap way to make yourself a snack or

dinner...

I believe there are recipes for homemade baked beans floating around but

in the UK when we refer to Beans on Toast this is what we mean.

Hope this helps...its hard to explain because Beans on Toast are well

beans on toast...

Rebecca

This is a good link for info on Heinz beans too Rebecca, I couldn't

get into the link that you gave for some reason. It says that the

beans are 'Navy' beans??? Never heard of them but they are grown

over the other side of the pond and also in Canada apparently.

www.heinzbeanz.com Some good info on here as well and it also says

that the beans started lifin in the VERY expensive shops as a luxury

item! LoL They are definately not considered as a luxury item these

days! LoL
