Guest guest
Michelle: I suggest you go to the library and check out some of the vegetarian cook books, before you buy any. I used to bring them home read them and try some of the recipes, this way I was ending up with books that I would use. ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
Guest guest
Hi everyone. I was curious what books would be the best to buy with simple vegetarian recipes. I have one huge book, but most of the recipes contain about 30 ingredients, and some are so exotic I'd never find all the ingredients for them. I have a lot of food allergies, so anything I cook has to be as simple as possible. Plus I don't have a lot of time. Are the Linda McCartney books everyone keeps talking about that way? What other authors should I try? Now that it is getting closer to the holidays, I really want to try out some new recipes. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Michelle, I like The Vegetarian 5-Ingredient Gourmet by Nava Atlas. Her recipes are fresh and simple and she includes pantry tips and tips for creating whole meals around each recipe. hth, Peace, Diane , " turtle_mf " <michfellows wrote: > > Hi everyone. > I was curious what books would be the best to buy with simple > vegetarian recipes. Guest guest
My suggestion is Laurel's Kitchen. It is a basic vegetarian cookbook that has been around a long time with lots of nutritional information. It has some more complex recipes, but lots of simple ideas for surviving on a vegetarian diet. When I became a vegetarian in 1976, a public health nurse, I was working with, suggested to me. She was right and I am still using it. It has been updated and revised and is out in paperback. I have a Linda McCartney cookbook but don't really consider it simple. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y & EAN=978089815166\ 4 & itm=2 Kathleen Eureka CA > I was curious what books would be the best to buy with simple > vegetarian recipes.
