Guest guest
I would bake it with some BBQ sauce. I make shiskabobs in the oven, using chunks of this along with pinapple, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, onions, etc. I baste them with BBQ sauce a few times while they bake on a baking sheet. Here are some other ideas for using Seitan/Wheat Gluten. I buy Worthington Choplets slice that are Gluten patties. *You can make Green Pepper " Steak " . I pat them dry, slice into small strips. I brown them in a little oil in the frying pan, on high heat, stirring often. I then sprinkle them with a little seasoned salt. Put them into a bowl. Then add a little oil back into your frying pan and stir fry some large dices of Carrots, Celery, Green Pepper, Onions, Mushrooms, Broccoli, etc. I season with some Garlic, ground ginger, Salt, Braggs Liquid Amionos( you could use light soy sauce for this). I add either some red pepper flakes or some Garlic chili sauce, but be careful. A little goes a long way with this. Serve over Basamati Rice * Bread the Gluten Patties with Italian bread crumbs(I add a little seasoned salt and Ms. Dash to the breadcrumbs) and fry on both sides until crispy and golden brown. Eat as above OR cut these patties after cooked above into quarters. Mix together Cream of Mushroom Soup, sour cream, diced onions and the broth out of the can of Choplets. Layer the Choplets quarters to a casserole dish and then a layer of the Mushroom Soup Mixture and continue to all is used. Use a Mushroom mixture for the top layer. Anyways this will give you some good ideas to start enjoying this product. Guest guest
In the Green Pepper " Stake " recipe below, I forgot to mention that when the veggies are tender crisp I add the seasonings and the crispy Gluten strips into the veggies.
