Guest guest
Yes, they do. You might even find them in a mainstream grocery if they have a decent health-food / natural food section. I've seen soybeans by Bob's and Arrowheard Mills in mine. However, some of the larger HFS also have soybeans ( and lots of others) in bulk. I think the prices are 'way better than what you'd find already packaged. Guest guest
I just checked the online site of a HFS that I'm going to next week. They have bulk soybeans..Yay! I go to a doctor in Shreveport about ever 3 months so I'll be picking up my baking supplies.. I went to the their store a few years ago & bought essential oils when I was making soap. They have online shopping now & even serve food. I've already got a list started of the things I want to buy so I'll add the beans to it. BTW, I went to the Bob's site & to look for flour & 2 pounds would have cost me almost $19.00. Shipping was really high for me. I've been going through my new cookbooks & making a list of the things that I can' find locally. Rhoda On 9/8/07, Momcat <Momcat55 wrote: > > Yes, they do. Guest guest
Hi Rhoda, I found dried soybeans on www.bulkfoods.com. I just ordered some gluten flour from them and will order from them again. As for the sesame seeds, I found them in the bulk section at Whole Foods at 1.99 a pound. Guest guest
Thanks for the link! I don't have time to browse the site but I noticed tvp for sale. Is that dried or refrigerated? Is it similar to Morningstar products? I've bought frozen crumbles & wondered if it was similar to that but dried instead. thanks, Rhoda On 9/8/07, veganivore < veganivore wrote: > > Hi Rhoda, I found dried soybeans on www.bulkfoods.com. Guest guest
Hi Rhoda, it's dried and doesn't have any taste to it. I reconstitute mine in veggie broth or soy sauce/water/sage/black pepper mixture and usually add Kitchen Bouquet or GravyMaster to make it darker. But it did look like the online place has a colored version. Kate -- Rhoda Jayne Sender: Reply Sep 8, 2007 12:06 PM Re: health food store question Thanks for the link!
