Guest guest
Hi yes i love to cook and i know what she means w/ the peanut butter but i don't have to cook very often because my mom will make sure that i have something that i can eat every night, she wants to make sure i get the nutrition that i need. , Katie M <cozycate wrote: > > Hi Harlee, It is nice to have you with us. I hope you like to cook, That and eating are what we talk about. We do have a bunch of great recipies. My granddaughter became a vegetarian when she was 12. Her mom and dad and brother still eat meat, so she had to learn to do her own cooking. She is almost 16 now. She still eats to much peanut butter, but it is quick and easy and filling. She loves coming to visit and raids my refriderator to see what left overs I have. > Katie > > circus0s <circus0s wrote: > Hi, > I am new to this group and to being a vegetarian. > I am 13 and the only veg in my family. > I have 2 bros both younger and 1 mom and 1 dad. > I became a veg because of how unhealthy it was to eat meat, and have > been feeling great so far. > I started in august so i have not been doing this for very long. > I love to talk and get on the computer almost every day. > Be a better Globetrotter. Guest guest
Hi Harlee, My daughter became vegetarian in December-I can't believe she has made it 8 months in a house where Mom, Dad and little brother all eat meat!! She eats lots of salads and peanut butter sandwiches and her favorite restaurants are Subway for their veggie lover's sub and Pei Wei because they will make any of their dishes with tofu instead of meat. I hope your family is supportive of your decision. Have Mom and Dad lurk on the if they have questions. I am very proud of my daughter's determination to remain vegetarian and love being with this group where I can get ideas of great food to serve her. Guest guest
Look at all the recipes in here. Print off new ones for her to make for you. You'll eat better than they are, be healthier and a good influence on others. You can do this. You feel good when you are making a difference in the world, the lives of animals and your own. Guest guest
You are lucky to have your mom watching out for your nutritian. You can do it, though, even without a supportive family. Like I said, my granddaughter became vegetarian just before her 13th birthday. She is almost 16 now and still vegetarian. If she can do it, you can. Just remember that it becomes easier after all the chemicles they put in meat are out of your system. We can easily become addicted things we have every day and we become addicted to the chemicle additives. That is why you may crave meat. It isn't the meat as much as the additives in it. Guest guest
Harlee, Maybe you could help your mom too by making her a list of ingredients she will need that are not in the cupboards already or in the fridge for those recipes. And you should probably help her in the kitchen too if you are going to ask her to change the way she cooks... I'm 21, and I now have a 2 year old... I never realized how stressful it can be sometimes to plan meals and get the stuff in the fridge/cupboard that I need. It's hard having a family sometimes and keeping track of everything!
