Fruit Sausages 1 cup pecans 1/2 cup pitted dates 1/2 cup diced figs 1/4 cup candied cherries 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup shredded coconut 1/2 cup seedless raisins 1/2 cup diced candied pineapple grated rind of 1 orange finely chopped nuts or shredded coconut Grind pecans, coconut, dates, raisins, figs, pineapples and cherries, using the coarse blade of a food grinder. Add rind and salt; mix well with hands. Shape into little rolls 3/4 inch in diameter and 3 inches long. Roll in nuts or coconut and wrap each roll in plastic, tying ends with fancy cord. 16 rolls.
