Guest guest
Several of us in the Northeast have waxed poetic over the grocery chain known as Hannaford. They carry their own line of organic foods and always have excellent and varied produce. Well, now they're even looking into applying environmental building practices to their physical stores: http://snipr.com/hannaford_goes_green Bravo! -Erin http://www.vegandonelight.com http://www.zenpawn.com/vegblog
Guest guest
Oh wow! Now I need to go find out what happened to Cony High School! Is it gone - rebuilt elsewhere? Are they building this store on the land or redoing the high school? Seems an odd place for a store. Plus the land trust says only educational purposes. But how awesome! I wonder if it will be open when I go back up next summer? Thanks, Erin. Erin <truepatriot wrote: Several of us in the Northeast have waxed poetic over the grocery chain known as Hannaford. Guest guest
Thelocals around here are starting to call the stores cannaford because they have been so pricey. I'm really surprised to hear this as I've found their prices to be much better than the A & P where I used to do all my shopping. In fact much, much better.....some items a dollar less and some even a dollar and change less. Maybe because the store is new they're doing their best to suck people in, but I would hope not. I guess only time will tell. I think it's a beautiful store with a remarkable variety and I've been beyond happy with the service and the products (especially their produce organic or otherwise). Guest guest
Well I do not agree with you about Hannaford.I am very disappointed with the quality of there Organics. The shelf life of two or three days is not acceptable and the price is much more than the local organic stores.Thelocals around here are starting to call the stores cannaford because they have been so pricey. just my two cents Calvin Weeks On 9/22/07, Erin <truepatriot wrote: > > Several of us in the Northeast have waxed poetic > over the grocery chain known as Hannaford.
