Guest guest
Since this group has to do with vegetarian I am pulling the thrift store issue back to thrift store dishes--I cannot eat my vegetarian food without using thrift store dishes and many of my other kitchen equipment is from our St Vincent de Paul--almost all of my dishes, many of my cooking pans, many of my pie plates, etc. I managed to stock our RV with Corelle and silverware purchased from thrift stores. And St Vincent de Paul feeds the hungry among us every day so I feel that I am helping the poor when I donate to them and when I buy my dishes there. Kathleen Eureka CA I have found in this area that lots of folks get new furniture for Christmas or the holidays. And guess where their old (good) stuff goes? Yup! To the SAFE store near me. And I think, but not know for sure, that people buy new furnished mobile homes and then bring in their own stuff. I have seen brand new chairs and sofas. Would my husband love that. Not to get stuff, but to get rid of it. But, if he touches my cow collection.....he is doomed.
