Guest guest
This past weekend I went home to Lancaster PA where my family lives. We often frequent a store we call The Amish Store. It carries all kinds of goodies that are very much discounted. Wouldnt you know I happened upon a bottle of BRAGGS Aminos. I had never had it, never used it but had seen it many times in the health foods store and for the price of $1.00 I couldnt pass it by. How weird it was to me to see the exchange that went on here about BRAGGS. I made some sauteed greens today and used the BRAGGS in place of the vinegar they suggested. WOW!! It is WONDERFUL! By no means does it taste like vinegar, more like Maggi Seasoning for those of you familiar with that. It gave my greens and soy sprouts a wonderful flavor. I am amazed at the amount of protein in this product! Of course, I have my family on the look out for any BRAGGS products they can find for me at The Amish Store. I am anxious to try more of their products. Roxy, Philly PA )
Guest guest
Roxy-glad you found Bragg's. It sure did take a beating in here by a member or two. I will always use Bragg's. I can't eat Chinese food with soy sauce anymore. I take my Bragg's out to eat with me. I trust feedback from the group and knowing this long standing company has been providing this wonderful product for over 50 60 or 70 years, not some oddball's opinion posted on the Internet. Guest guest
Aaaaaaaaa-men! What's nice is it travels well. I take it on trips, out of town business meetings and many times I use in place of salt or soy sauce which are probably more dangerous. I have no worries about using Bragg's. Passing false information could cause a lot of damage to a reputable company. Julie , " chico_trucker " <chico_trucker wrote: > > Roxy-glad you found Bragg's. Guest guest
For the record, I was not one of those people. I used to quite like Bragg's Aminos, having been introduced to it at a big community meal circle at a Rainbow Gathering in the mountains of Vermont. I only stopped when I switched to a low-sodium diet. However, I continue to regularly purchase their raw apple cider vinegar ( " with the mother " ). -Erin
Guest guest
I am going to have to try this Braggs product you are all raving about. I do use soy sauce (regular and tamari) and also, when I lived down under I used vegemite. It sounds like Braggs is a little like vegemite? I will have to buy some. Maybe at Whole foods? , " Erin " <truepatriot wrote: > > For the record, I was not one of those people. Guest guest
Yes, it's at Whole Foods. You will find the best price there. I have seen small bottles at grocery chains. I don't like Vegemite, reminds me of grease around my car brakes. I think you have to acquire a taste for that one. Guest guest
Oh good, thanks! I am up for a visit to Whole foods. They do have items I cannot find anywhere else. For example the black and pinto instant dried beans I use when backpacking. This is not half bad: Cucumber and vegemite sandwich. Use your favorite bread. toast. Spread butter on one slice, and vegemite on the other. The trick here is very thinly spread the vegemite. Put sliced cucumbers in the middle. Eat. Weird but good. , Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > > Yes, it's at Whole Foods. You will find the best price > there.
