Guest guest
Does this 3 ft. stack next to my computer really count as cook books when I use it as an end table? LOL I am addicted to books of all kinds including craft and gardening. A friend helped me move to my apartment and said she would never help again because of all my boxes of books. I have given away all my non- Vegetarian cook books except for a few like the Chinese and Mexican. I find a 'new' vegetarian cook book weekly at the thrift store for a couple dollars. I have given a few cook books to new Vegetarians but when I give away one somebody like Donna sends me two. LOL I love to just sit and read them and look at the pictures to get ideas. If anyone is searching for a particular book let me know and I will be on the look out for it. And since we are discussing books.........what would you suggest for the best Vegan or Vegetarian How to book? And what would you suggest as the best vegetarian or vegan cookbook? Guest guest
-Well that's a tough one but I guess I would say " Marie Oser's Soy of Cooking " and a very old Betty Crocker " Vegetarian Cooking' is also good. A couple favorites are books by Linda McCartney. IF you want a book with unique ideas , beautifully illustrated, and great recipes check out " Vegetable " (Willams-Sonoma- Simon and Shuster). If you want to have sweet dreams, place a book like this at your bedside to read before going to sleep. Oh yes and a clay container of organic Lavender oil will also guide you to dream land. Guest guest
Hm.... I think my current favorite vegan cookbook is Vegan with a Vengeance. Every single thing I've made from it has been outstanding, especially the chickpea gravy on mashed potatoes. Ooooooh.... I even blogged about it here: http://whatimcookingnow.blogspot.com/2006/03/vegan-with-vengeance.html Denise the other one - thebooklass Tuesday, October 09, 2007 9:13 AM Re: How Many Cook Books????
