Guest guest
Sharon, you make me feel like I really pass the cooking test! I make the chili powder in big batches and give away during the holidays. I will toss smoked paprika in next time, did you try the fairy dust yet? One difference is I liberally add smoked paprika from Penzeys. YUM! (For the one or two of you who haven't tried it yet, it smells just like barbeque potato chips and it's oh, so smoky.) Guest guest
Go to our home page and then click on files. Then recipes. Go down and click on Mixes and spice blends. Then click on the sub folder Spice blends and a whole lot of different homemade recipes for spice blends will pop up. Donna's is called California Chili Powder. Enjoy, Judy - maidenhair67 Thursday, October 11, 2007 10:09 AM chili powder recipe I saw a post about Donna's fabulous chile powder and went looking in the recipes folder but didn't come up with anything. I just returned from New Mexico and with some great chiles and am wondering if someone could direct me to the recipe.

Guest guest
For those of us who can't visualize recipes, could you please give an idea of how much smoked paprika to add to the recipe in the files (1/4 cup ground chiles 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 to 2 tsps. cayenne 2 tsps. dried oregano 2 tsps. onion salt 1 tsp. garlic powder)? Thankyou so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At 06:12 AM 10/11/2007, Sharon Zakhour <sharon.zakhour wrote: I periodically make up a batch of Donna's chili powder and keep it on hand.
