Guest guest
A couple tbsp of green olive juice works for me. It must be something about the salt and vinegar. , " Dallas " <unicorn_d25 wrote: Hi... Guest guest
Never tried it. I swear by ginger and ginger tea. It always helps my gastroparesis and IBD. , " Dallas " <unicorn_d25 wrote: > > Hi... Guest guest
Well, I am a big pickle fan anyway, so it didn't bother me that much... I got a really nasty 24 hr bug a couple weeks ago and NOTHING would settle my stomach... my best friend suggested I drink some of my pickle juice...after I took a couple of swallows, man was I feeling better... but like I said, I love pickles... I even make " pickle-cicles " from the juice.. so I get my $3 worth from a big jar! That night though... whew... I didn't think anything was going to help... I ended up drinking 2 whole cups..( i only know that because for some reason my husband measured it out..lol) .. but after about an hour, I really started to feel better... but then the next day, my feet were swollen from the excess salt intake... but hey, at least I never got sick... lol Katie M <cozycate wrote: My stomach would have to be pretty upset before I would do that. Guest guest
someone else told me to try ginger stuff, but I just never developed a taste for it... I dunno what it is about ginger, but I just flat don't like the taste of it.. in any form. I've tried chewing on some mint leaves, but it tasted like I was chewing on fresh cut grass with a hint of mint...lol... I like the pickle juice for 2 reasons... #1..it's something I ALWAYS have at home, and #2...well, I don't have a #2 right now... lol... BarbaraRyan <elayneofavalon wrote: Never tried it. Guest guest
My husband swears by either sauerkraut or artichokes. I read an article about artichokes being a great remedy for stomach so he buys huge jars of them from Costco. I take aloe vera gel every day. I started taking it to soothe the burning from reflux but that problem is long gone and still I crave the aloe vera. Guest guest
Would either pickle or aloe juices work with gas, including intenstinal gas? I'm allergic to milk and it seems my allergy has gotten worse or I'm allergic to something else (soy milk, perhaps?). Until I figure it out and quit eating whatever it is, I'm in terrible pain with gas. I don't have a clue what to eat anymore Amethyst rainbow page <rainbow.page wrote: aloha i have tried aloe juice its a cure all for the inners:) : unicorn_d25: Sat, 13 Oct 2007 00:14:20 +0000 Upset stomach soother Hi... Guest guest
http://health.ivillage.com/digestion/digas/topics/0,,4v1b,00.html and http://www.sheilashea.com/gas.html They both have some good help. Also get some Charcoal Tablets or capsules at the heathfood store. It is amazing at getting rid of gas and pain in the stomach. It absorbs that gas and toxic build up of things in our system that cause all kinds of abdominal pain. My whole family reaches Charcoal for that over pepto or many other things. Just don't take it within 2 hours of medications or it will absorb that also. Guest guest
Fennel works really well for gas. I would mix it with some chamomile and you should feel better. Hope you feel better soon. , Shameless Flirt <lilacpatch wrote: > > Would either pickle or aloe juices work with gas, including intenstinal gas? Guest guest
Hello There! Just ran across this and wanted to mention 3 things I am aware of. Charcoal capsules from the health store will help with stomach gas real quick. It removes excess metals from your system too. It's not something you want to be taking every single day though. Just till you get this sorted out. I would look into a digestive enzyme to take too. Sometimes your system has troubles processing greens and certain foods. A fruit enzyme may help with the gas too. It's like taking that beano product. Ginger helps with stomach. Look for a herbal tea with Ginger if needed. I used to have lots of stomach issues like this too. Hope you are well soon!
