You would have to sedate me and drag me. I try not to shop in the mall at

all between T-giving and Christmas. Amy <shuddering just thinking about it>

Rhoda,

I LOVE getting up super early and shopping on Black Friday. I also can't wait

to see the internet leaks for sales that day. My family usually all gets

together for Thanksgiving and my sisters, my nephew(20 yold) and I go together

in one of our vans. It is so fun. I will miss going with them this year for

the first time in many years, as I won't be able to travel down to where they

are meeting up this year.

AllRecipes is a favorite recipe site of mine too. When I am looking for a

particular recipe, say Divinity or Maple Fudge, I type it in and bunches of

recipes come up for it. Then I find the one that is most like what I am looking

for. I love their rating system also that folks like us give a recipe after we

try it and any changes that we might have made to it.

Re: Idea's for Thanksgiving dinner

I'll be cooking a traditional dinner since I'm more or less the 'official'

cooker now! I have a recipe box at allrecipes.com where I've stored my

holiday recipes. Since I wasn't planning vegetarian dishes a year ago, I

need to go look at my recipes & see which ones might need to be altered. My

best space saving tip is to cook the dressing in the crock pot.

Speaking of the day after Thanksgiving, look out! I love Black

Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait until the Early Bird ads get

'leaked' & hit the internet!

Two years ago I was 4th in line at 4:15 a.m. for the $378.00 laptop at Wal

Mart! It helps to sleep in your clothes, lol! All I had to do was put my

shoes & jacket on! Last year I went to Wal Mart & Radio Shack. My ds is

working for Fred's now so I might have to stop in there to actually see my

son up working at 5:00 in the morning!!

Last year I bought the teeny tiny $5.00 crock pot & I've used it quite a

lot. If they have cheap laptops at Wal Mart I might be tempted to try it

again.

I love to shop at places like Bath and Body Works, Office Depot, Michaels,

Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, Belks, Penneys, Sears on Black Friday.

Laptops are handy for travel aren't they? Seems like most all hotels have

wireless internet anymore, thankfully. Boy you were up early......... 4:15

and already in line. I have to admire you. LOL going to see your son at work

at 5a.m. That is a trip for a teenager to have to be at work that early isn't

it?

You know we love to shop the day after Christmas too. Get up really early for

that also to find all the mark downs on so much stuff. We told the girls we

should buy all their Christmas the day after Christmas, but they won't go for

it. LOL They do enjoy the money presents from family at Christmas, which they

use on that day after Christmas to make it go a long ways.
