Guest guest
I had to open my trunk and crawl through to the front seat over the beakseat once when a rude person parked their SUV 3 inches from my door, there was a huge bush next to the passenger door. I left a note across their windshield in HOT PiNK lipstick before I climbed inside my car with long 34 inch legs. Now talk about inconviencing someone lol Donna Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile " wwjd " <jtwigg Sun, 14 Oct 2007 20:44:49 To: Re: Donna's Day Oh nooooooooo. What a day. That happened on my van once, except the center part of the lock fell inside the door itself. Thank goodness I was home when it happened, but the bad thing was the mechanic had to order a new lock for the door that took a few days and we were going out of town the next day for Thanksgiving. What a pain on that long trip, to have to climb in a different door and then over to the drivers seat everytime I had to get in. ugh.......... I really feel for you, locked out of your own home and then no internet when you do get in. Thank goodness for locksmiths in the family that lived close enough by to help out. What a blessing in the middle of this trying experience. Hope they were able to fix your lock tonight too. Bless your heart. I came home and stuck the key in the lock and the center of the lock fell out Grrrrrrrr. Sissy and my bil are locksmiths lol. I had to wait until they could get here and fix it. I have Old World rice in the rice cooker. If I wait much longer I will have to eat my Halloween candy for dinner. Now I can't log into the computer Broadband is down. Good thing I have my back up here. Donna Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile

What a prediciment and loved the pink lipstick message. Goodness folks need to think before they park so close don't they. I can tell you though, we have two vehicles with a very long wheel base and it is really hard to get into straight spaces. Don't you wish all parking lot spaces were angled. I know those of us with long wheel based vehicles know what I mean. LOL Judy - <thelilacflower " Vegetarian Group " Sunday, October 14, 2007 1:51 PM Re: Donna's Day OT. Guest guest
You know we went to Washington DC amongst other places on vacation a few years back and every parking lot at the DC hotels were for compact cars only.................. We had to get special permission to park in the unloading parking spot in front of the hotel during our stay in Washington DC. It sure was convenient though and I'm glad they let us. We were worried about where we would park our van. We have never ran into a circumstance like that before, in any of the many large cities that we have visited. We love to travel and see different places. New adventures are only time and miles away. I've only seen compact car parking spots in parking garages. I usually like to park way out in a parking lot without vehicles on the sides of me if possible. Less chance of getting scratches on your vehicle and I can always use the exercise.
