Adventist Book Store shoppers - help needed

I was in my local ABC last week and I picked up a frozen bag that said Vegan

Breaded Veggie Turkey Breasts with Wild Rice and Cranberries stuffing. I

thought the cooking directions were on the label but it was just a list of

ingredients and no manufacturers name either.

I'm sure I'll have no problem cooking them but wonder if anyone else has tried

these and might have some tips. I think my husband might appreciate these.

Thanks

Audrey,

DH & I located the Adventist store in Texarkana & I'll be going there in a

week or two. Can you tell me about the stores in general? They aren't open

on the weekend so I've gotta make a trip after work one afternoon to check

it out. Are they locally operated or a chain?

Thanks, Rhoda

prosage, Tuno, several different vegetarian burgers, stripples, etc) , canned

vegetarian food section(loma Linda/Worthington, Vibrant Life, Cedar Lake, etc

brands), TVP and similiar type products, Savorex(similiar to Vegemite), McKays

Vegetarian Chicken like and beef like, Bill Best Vegetarian " Beaf and Chic'nish

like dry powder product, either brand of which you can use to make broth, gravy

with or season things. products, Vegetarian gravy mixes, wonderful Vegetarian

Cookbooks, Gelatin alternatives, like Agar Agar and Clear Gel. Vegetarian

Vitamins, Herbs, Charcoal tablets, Braggs products, soybeans, Energ - Egg

replacer, healthy cereals, grains, dried fruits and nuts, and loads more that I

am forgetting. Many shelf products. Some products vary from store to store.

I just checked the store locator & there isn't one in Texarkana; however, I

was told that it was run by Adventists. The name of it is " The Granary " . I

just assumed that it must be the same place. I've been told that they have

better prices than the other health food stores in the area so I'll be

checking it out.

Thanks, Rhoda

Yes often there is an Adventist lady friend of mine, not to far from me, that

runs a health food store too. Her last name is Bean and she calls it The Bean

Store. It has many of the same products and some different ones. She has a

lot of the vegan cheese products, Tofutti cream cheese, sour cream products and

their " Ice Cream " as well as other brands, frozen sprouted varieties breads

including the Ezekiel breads. I've found that some churches have a small

vegetarian health food store set up, especially if they also have a Adventist

Church School with the church. Many Adventist have a passion for Vegetarian

eating and have their own Health food store they operate, when there isn't an

ABC close by. This must be something similar to what you have found.

In fact, if you know what products you want, the Adventist Book Center often has

a travel store and they try schedule visits to SDA churches around their

conferences and bring products with them that you call them and let them know

you want. They can even bring frozen products with them. Of course they will

always drop it in the mail to you.

Have fun at the Granary.
