Guest guest
All the donut shops around me fry them in lard so they aren't vegetarian. Too bad because I'd love to eat jelly donuts now and then. Donna Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile " Samantha " <samanthazaddress Fri, 19 Oct 2007 15:36:26 DOUGHNUTS... Guest guest
If you made your own it could be vegetarian. You could cook it in vegetable oil. Guest guest
I know that the white powdered doughnuts have beef fat in them. Not sure of the others types. They also have eggs in the cake type. Some vegetarians eat eggs. Samantha <samanthazaddress Friday, October 19, 2007 8:36:26 AM DOUGHNUTS... Does anyone know if doughnuts are vegetarian? Guest guest
I hear Little Debbie makes a single-serve Glazed Cake Donut that is Vegetarian or vegan. Haven't checked it out myself yet though. Jill , " Samantha " <samanthazaddress wrote: > > Does anyone know if doughnuts are vegetarian? Guest guest
Donuts can be vegetarian. It depends on the ingredients in the donut and what type of grease they are fried in. If you are going to fry them yourself, get peanut oil. Marilyn Daub mcdaub Vanceburg, KY My Cats Knead Me!! - Samantha Friday, October 19, 2007 11:36 AM DOUGHNUTS... Guest guest
I sent an email to Dunkin Donuts to see what type of oil they use. They have a website and list nutritional (is that an oxymoron?) data but I am not savy enough to know what they are cooked with. I'll let you know if I get a response back. Our school PTO has a Dunkin Donut day each month and I confess I never even considered that issue. Oops! Valerie
Guest guest
Krispy kreme doughnuts are vegetarian. it says right on their website that all donuts are fried in 100% vegetable oil. unfortunately, they are not vegan.. =) jenni " It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.
