Guest guest
I swear I thought I was the only person on earth that didn't treasure these books. Guest guest
I have 2 or 3 of them which I received as gifts. I've never made one thing out of any of them. ( ) ( __ c\_/ Audrey
Guest guest
I only like The Enchanted Broccoli Forest by Mollie Katzen. I have all the Moosewood cookbooks and for some reason they just don't appeal to me. I know this is rare, most vegetarians rave about them. There is a great veggie restaurant in Ithaca, NY, which is in the Finger Lakes area. It's a great restaurant and I've been there only once for lunch, as it's a 3 hour drive for me to get there. The person who started the restaurant - Molly Katzen - has several Moosewood cookbooks out, of which I have several and highly recommend. Guest guest
I have cookbooks up the ying yang however, my DH is a very picky eater. He only likes broccoli and peas for veggies, and salad. I tend to make all my food from experience rather then from a book. I find way too many steps and too many things in the recipes that I don't ordinarily have on hand. Guest guest
I love the cook books, was introduced to the restaurant and Molly Katzen's books by a friend from New Jersey some 30 years ago; took some time to arrive here in Australia - but I still use them all the time; those and the cook book from Krank's in London (one of my favourite vegerarian restaurants in the world). Making an Enchanted Broccoli Forest for my kids was a real treat (for me if not for them (LOL). Lynne
Guest guest
I have found the moosewood cookbooks a great starting place for creating veggie dishes. I rarely have all ingrediants on hand so have to modify them but they work. Wanda snipsnstitches <snipsnstitches wrote: I have cookbooks up the ying yang however, my DH is a very picky eater. Guest guest
I'm unimpressed with this series myself. Too many ingredients, long preparation time and the outcome is nothing to write about. I have so many other books I use and enjoy much better. I really enjoy hearing what members have to say about cookbooks, it's so interesting to see favorites, ones we don't connect with, etc. Isis , " Lynne Gardiner " <tsimandnef wrote: > > I love the cook books, was introduced to the restaurant and Molly Katzen's > books by a friend from New Jersey some 30 years ago; took some time to > arrive here in Australia - but I still use them all the time; those and the > cook book from Krank's in London (one of my favourite vegerarian restaurants > in the world).
