Guest guest
You said, " leftover vitamix lemon " ? Does this mean you have a vitamixer? Are they worth what they cost? I have been considering getting one, but they are so expensive! Guest guest
Not the original poster but... I LOVE my Vitamix. I held off buying one for a long time because they are so ridiculously expensive. But it is entirely worth it. (They do sell reconditioned ones through their website -- they have a good warranty.) Guest guest
FAULOUS STUFF!! I made a batch of millet - 1c millet/2c water which made about 4c. So I used 2c veggies: 1 zucchini grated, 1 small onion grated, 1 tomato diced, 2 big cloves garlic minced, 1 poblano pepper minced. I used 3 eggs because 2 didn't seem like enough. I used 1/2c ground flax seed, 1-2 (?) TB cajun seasoning & about 1tsp salt. I made the patties burger sized & served them on buns w/some mayo & pepper. YUMYUMYUMYUMYUMYUM. Although the younger creature said she prefers the lentil or bean burgers. I liked the crunch of the outside millet. Very tasty & very healthy. I love sneaking in veggies, heh heh. I steamed up some green beans to go with it. , Beth Renzetti <elmothree2000 wrote: > > Dianna's millet patties > > wwjd <jtwigg wrote: Question of the Week - > > What's for dinner at your house tonight? Guest guest
I adore my vitamix. About 16 years ago, my mother found one at a yardsale for $5 and gave it to me. We absolutely loved it and used it for about 5 years every day. It was about 20 years old at the time. My mom really lusted after it, so I gave it to her and bought a new one. The one I have now is the 5000 and I use it almost daily - its about 10 years old. I use it to grind flour from wheat and garbanzo beans, grind coffee, make soups, slushies, sorbets, ice creams, sauces and gravies, smoothies.... but my favorite use for it is to make pudding. In about 7 minutes, I have perfect pudding. The guarantees and customer service are phenomenal. It is absolutely worth the money, IMHO. Guest guest
We had Macaroni and cheese, tossed salad, some steam/stir fried Kale with sliced garlic, some diced up yellow squash, patty pan squash steam/stir fried with onions and then I added diced fresh tomatoes and snipped fresh basil at the end of the cooking. It was soooo delicious and a very colorful dinner. Judy
