Guest guest
If you look or ask the produce dept you will probably find it. Do you have Whole Foods? I have good luck finding it there. I agree this is one of the best tasting greens. But then I have never looked for it either, not a big kale fan myself, it always turns out so bitter when I have tried it. I will have to ask the produce manager at my grocery store about it. Or if all else fails, perhaps I could try growing it. Anyways, thanks for the info, Di paisleytrees <paisleytrees@ <paisleytrees%40> > wrote: Tes, this is the best kale, coks up faster with a much better taste. You would never even know it was related to curly kale. Reminds me more of chard. Guest guest
It makes being a vegetarian that much easier if you can find all your veggies. Try asking in the local grocery store produce section, if they would try to order a few bunches I'm sure it would sell. Do you eat chard? It's very close in texture and taste, at least I think so. Donna>>>>>>>>>>>> Hi Donna, I wish I had a Whole Foods nearby, the closest to me is in Fairfax, which is about 45 miles and with traffic...it's probably an 1 1/2 drive, minimum. Maybe some weekend I can convince the DH to go on a little road trip, I would love to check it out, I have heard great things about their stores. Guest guest
I've seen it called black kale too. It's my favorite. It's an easy plant to grow - I've done it, before I knew what it was! http://www.seedsofchange.com/garden_center/product_details.asp? item_no=PS10894 Alex
