Guest guest
We lived in Wine Country and never did get into the wines although we used to grab a couple of not vegan/veggie things and hit the road with some sour dough bread and go winery hopping on a weekend since all the wine you can drink is free <g> Lovely way to try new wines and spend a weekend when you don't have a lot of cash! Oh, and we used to go to the Wine and Art shows. There was a burgundy that was really good at one of the tastings one year. I really loved it. We left early and found out later that it sold at the auction that night for over $200. Sheesh, figures that the only one I'd like would cost a mint! I don't get all the sniff, swirl and then spit stuff though. Yuck! Lynda - Jonnie Hellens Wednesday, November 02, 2005 10:28 AM Re: Oi you, beer... Guest guest
We never did like the Napa area. Too snooty. We like to do the little back roads family owned off the beaten track types. Its been about 4 years since we did Sonoma County. We took a year off and then two years ago we did Humboldt County and Trinity County wineries. Last year we did brew pubs. Sorry we didn't invite you but we didn't know you then %-{ Haven't decided what to do next year but next week we are looking at a diesel pusher, so we just might be wandering much further afield. Guest guest
Yeah, the thought of beer is a huge turn off right now. I guess the stuff must interact with my meds and make me sicker than a dog real quick. After the last time, I didn't even have wine for a while before I got brave. Either that or maybe something in the beer and I don't get along? I dunno, but I love wine and beer is so-so to me, so I guess it works out.earthstrm <nikkimack wrote: Hi JonnieI'm not really a wine drinker.
