Guest guest
Just for clarification. When I put smiley faces or words like <smiling> <grinning> <laughing> <LOL> etc it means I am teasing someone which I do regularly since one absolutely cannot get through life without a sense of humor... If I am serious about something you will know it clearly. I guess there might be a slight difference in humor between here and over there (now that song is stuck in my head...thanks so much...LOL) because I knew that fraggle was clearly teasing. It's that damn American style once again that can annoy the Brit. However, I love the British humor and the programs that we see on TV coming from there are a hoot although I must admit much of it soars right on over my head. I indulge in my facetious side a lot. And for a lot of people, even those that know me, it goes right over their heads. linda earthstrm Nah, he's just having fun!Nikki , "linda" <lindai81@c...> wrote:>> Go back to bed...it is obvious that you need more sleep. <grinning> or you are just a plain sicko. Guest guest
Well Linda in all honesty, there have been plenty of your posts missing this grin that you are talking about in which I do hope that you were only kidding in. Otherwise they were quite harsh. And future clarification on my part since this seems to be something that you need, I was hoping and thinking that you were kidding in the post. But we have many new members on board recently, so I was just backing up a friend and playing around at the same time. Hence my little smiley icon. As for " If I am serious about something you will know it clearly " . Fair enough, though referring to my first paragraph again, I sure hope not. Tis all well Lynda, I agree with you, life should have humor, makes the world a better place! Nikki , " linda " <lindai81@c...> wrote: > > Just for clarification. Guest guest
Gee, Nikki, thank you so much for your honesty. Me harsh? Hmmm, your interpretation I take it? And "plenty" is a gross exaggeration, kind of like when someone says "you always" and never gives examples. I don't know what it was about my post below that gave rise to your "honesty" as you put it, but it is unwarranted, and if you had a problem with my posts in the past you should have spoken up then at the time of occurrence. Otherwise storing up resentments and anger and then dumping all of that stored stuff for no apparent reason is quite uncalled for. Such behavior is not conducive to any sort of relationships even e-mail lists. Now this post may seem harsh, but remember to re-read your harsh post below. I have the right to disagree with your accusations. My posts that have been sarcastic have NEVER been directed at anyone in here and if you are alluding to my comments about U.S. policies and people get ready for more. linda "Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it."Mohandas Gandhi linda's Growing Stitchery Projects: womyn47 - earthstrm Friday, December 23, 2005 9:24 AM Re: Humor in Well Linda in all honesty, there have been plenty of your posts missing this grin that you are talking about in which I do hope that you were only kidding in. Guest guest
Hi Linda, I think that you are taking me all wrong, but that is ok. But I shall just leave it at that to avoid further misunderstandings between us on this. And your US policies posts are fine with me and I am glad that you will be posting more. Whether I agree or not (and I am not saying either here), I am glad that you and many others speak their minds on these. And I am not storing up anything against you, I do not do that. So please do not put that on me without right. I was simply explaining my thoughts to you. I can either continue to do so and treat you the same as I do everyone else, or if you would prefer I can keep them to myself. Tho not sure why you would want that. Take care and relax a bit. I was not attacking you then, nor am I now. Perhaps your being new here as you often say, you just don't recognize the way I write. And I do not recognize your way. But no worries, we'll be fine.
