I don't know that Aveda has nail polish, but you can research that since there are salons in HK that carry Aveda products and wasn't sure if you were looking for other cosmetics too like shampoos, conditioners, etc. They do carry lots of products. I use them myself and love the eye shadow and mascara. I haven't found a vegan nail polish and remover here either since I don't order stuff over the net, but maybe if you google "vegan nail polish" or "vegan nail polish remover" you can see what products are out there and then do a location search and see if they are in HK.

Aveda products are totally vegan and ecologically safe and there are some in Hong Kong...Here is a site you can begin with in searching for a salon that has Aveda products. If the link doesn't work for you just type in Aveda to your search engine. Look under locations and then go zip there. I think I found 4 locations in central HK, but since I don't know where you are in HK you have to do it. Good luck.

Re: Re: hi everyone

Wow...order on the internet. My parents wouldprobably never let me do that, much less have thembeing sent to me. And I wouldn't even do that myselfeither. I'm not trying to be picky or anything, butI'm sorry but that isn't going to work. Stores in HKare the only choices for me. What I was actuallyasking for is what kind of ingredients I should avoidand all that.Karen

Hello, sorry to tell you that not all all aveda products are vegan, I did

research this myself

a while back. I contracted them and they wrote back to me. They have a branch

in

Fenwicks here and I thought I might be able to break the bank with them.

http://www.govegantexas.org/shopping/some_vegan_details.php

for a list of their vegan products and a bit more about it.

I doubt they do nail polish as it is probably too chemically for their image!

Glad that you brought this to me/our attention. I went to the site and looked and see that the three ingredients that they use that most of us wouldn't consider vegan are lanolin, honey, and beeswax. The list that they had there of the products that contain those ingredients aren't carried here and I think that the product list would certainly show this. I always read the labels of whatever I am buying even if it appears vegan on the surface. And I call the company if I am not sure. Many vegans will use ingredients like honey, beeswax, and lanolin. But, certainly with Aveda you can look up their site and get the specific ingredients in a product that you are intersted in and if not clear then e-mail them for answers. They are very cooperative and sensitive I have found. I always watch out too when there is color in something about where that coloring is coming from..don't want those poor bugs smeared on my body. www.aveda.com

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok. Sorry for the late reply but I'm kinda busy at

the moment.

Usually when I do things new, I spend a long time on

it, after a week or so, then I get busy on other

things so I often don't spend that much time on what

I've done before. Anyway, thanks for all the

information. I'll check out everything as soon as

soon as I get a chance to.
