Guest guest
I have a few raw recipe books, and have just recently acquired Alissa's book. I love it. It provides general raw information, info on sprouting, dehydrating, food combining. Best of all, it gives food shop lists for a week at a time recipes, which is helpful if you don't know how to start. There are also journals from other raw fooders about their experiences. The receipes I've tried are easy to follow and good. I'd recommend the book. cheers terry rawfood , " t_boerschlein " <t_boerschlein> wrote: > > > Does anyone have any info about Alissa Cohen's book, " Living on Live > Food? Guest guest
Thank you. I went on her site last night and read a lot of the journals and also on the group she has set up. I think that I will go and order her book right now so that I can get started. I am one of those mothers that are blessed with children that LOVE fruits and veggies so I can't wait to see how the whole family does! There is another ? that I have. How do I make sure that my children, ages 10, 4 and 1 (In less then 2 months she will be 2:( get the nutrition that they need with eating raw? Guest guest
Tenesa, It is the first raw food book I bought as refered by some good person on this list. I could not be more pleased! I find it a wonderful intro into raw eating. The recipes are simple and delicious and make this way of life a real joy. I'm really glad I got the video, too. I find great balance of foods in her recipes. The book has great pictures, testimonials and nice glossy pages that don't stain easy. Plenty of room to write in your own recipe notes. Guest guest
If you follow Alissa's book they will get it. Be sure they get enough natural fats like avocados and really important are the deep greens. Others may have good info to add. Diana of Dewberry Hill Thank you. Guest guest
This is a very good question and one that arises in regard to the Andressohn case. However, Lamoy has raised 4 health children on with this lifestyle and 2 of them from birth. However, I would consult with someone like Gabriel cousins, MD or Storm and Jinjee http://www.thegardendiet.com/ who have done this and have a book on it as well. There is also Karen Ranzi in NYKHRANZI who is on top of this! Much success and stay on the path!!!
