Guest guest
I'm going to break down this year and purchase myself a " turkey " for Thanksgiving, the question is which is better - Quorn or Tofurkey? I don't especially care about having the stuffing inside of it like the Tofurkey website shows, I make my own dressing. I called the store in Fayetteville that carries both products and the guy I spoke with (a meat-eater, no less) really recommended the Quorn - which is about half the price of the Tofurkey so that's an added bonus. From the website pictures, the Quorn roast looks more like " meat " as far as texture goes, but the Tofurkey has the " name recognition " factor. So could some of you out there who have tried these products please give me some advice?
Guest guest
Penny, my advice would be to trust your own taste buds and figure out a way to purchase small amounts of each product. Some people are very partial to one or the other. I would taste before realizing they are not your thing and you are stuck with a lot of it! I don't mind tofurky in a sandwich, and I do not much care for quorn. However, other folks are the opposite way, they love quorn and cannot stand tofurky. They have different ingredients, both vegetarian but completely different foods. Enjoy your quest! Guest guest
My daughter and I prefer Tofurky to a Quorn roast however we like the breaded quorn products. I always take the stuffing out of the Tofurky as I don't like it and stuff it with either my own stuffing or maybe mashed potatoes, one year I thing we make a mixture out of mashed pumpkin and put that inside the tofurky.
