Guest guest
Go to the recipe section and look in the substitutions folder and you will see the soy based folder, inside is a recipe folder for tempeh. The first time I saw it I ran from it. It sure does look odd but it cooks up very good. My not clam linguine recipe is one of my favorites, the recipe is in the folder. Since I'm too lazy to go upstairs and see what the correct spelling is, tempeh is going to have to work:0) I have used ground tvp for spaghetti, or chilli, but this stuff is different. It comes (or this did) in an air tight package that looks like a loaf of ?? Anyway, it says on the package that it should be sliced and dipped and fried??? It doesn't look like anything that I would eat, but I bought it in hopes that someone could help me? What else can I do with it? Guest guest
If it's posted on the website, the Post Punk Vegan Kitchen (theppk.com) has an awesome recipe for Tempeh Bacon taken from their Vegan with a Vengence cookbook. Guest guest
You can slice it in very thin strips, marinate it in a garlicky sauce (I would add just a tad of liquid smoke) and fry it. It is like vegetarian bacon. Not bad at all. You can also make an easy taco meatless filling, sautee it with commerical taco seasoning and use in tacos, with shredded lettuce or cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro and salsa. , " sammythingy " <sammything wrote: > > If it's posted on the website, the Post Punk Vegan Kitchen > (theppk.com) has an awesome recipe for Tempeh Bacon taken from their > Vegan with a Vengence cookbook.
