My daughter thinks every holiday meal must have deviled eggs. So far in her 21 years, she hasn't ever learned how to make them. ::sigh:: Another item to make... @ <%40> [@ <%40> ] On Behalf Of genny_y2k Tuesday, November 13, 2007 9:26 AM @ <%40> Thanksgiving Meal I will make a sage stuffing, candied yams and a cranberry sauce. The children always ask this Grams to make deviled eggs . I only make them once a year while my daughter is preparing the meal. The grand kids eat them as fast as I can make them . This is sort of a special treat for the children as no one makes deviled eggs these days. Deanna in Colorado

Guest guest
even though I would like to think I will make them I know I wont get to them....my granny always brought devilled eggs and a marvelous cranberry salad. My mom made sally lund bread, provided the pickled peaches, and that cool 7 layer salad with mayo on top....with all my parents and grandparents gone....I feel the weight of doing it all myself. Sadly, there is not much yet my DD has learned to do but maybe she really COULD do the devlled eggs! they at least are cheap! Guest guest
I needed the reminder as well, but I make two types of eggs--traditional deviled and no egg deviled eggs where the white is tofu and the filling is instant mashed potatoes flavored like deviled egg filling. I make them because we have an egg allergy in the house and it seems horribly unfair that she can't eat them--one of her favorite holiday foods. Personally, I like the real thing, but the fakes eggs aren't bad. Jeanne
