Guest guest
I usually always trim the tree all by myself with Christmas music playing. It's rarely cold here when it's time to put the tree up, or I would have some wassail or hot chocolate brewing too. Usually the air conditioner is still running It takes me 3 whole days to put the tree up, lights and all the ornaments on. It takes another 3 days to take it all down. I have a lot of ornaments...some I've made, some I've received in swaps through quilting or cross-stitch; many have been given to me by friends and family and I've purchased others, of course. The last tree we had I had room to put on more ornaments, but now we have a tree which was given to us, it is smaller and I get only most of the ornaments on. Guest guest
Let's see... I started putting the tree up the day before Thanksgiving and finally got it up and all the lights on Thanksgiving evening. However, the ornaments and other decorations are still waiting patiently in their boxes for me to get the energy to put them up! I'm seriously thinking I need a pre-lit tree... ---- aust4freng 11/26/2007 7:48:37 PM Christmas tree trimming I usually always trim the tree all by myself with Christmas music playing. Guest guest
I am not decorating for christmas this year. Not much, anyway. We will be going to Oregon to see our daughter and sil and grandchildren for two weeks in december. We will get home for christmas, but we will be going to other dd's house for our christmas celebration and dinnner so it doesn't seen worthwhile for just the two of us for just a few days. I am trying to freecycle a 18 inch tree so we can have something, but I am not going to go through the four days it takes to get everything out and look at it a couple times before spending four days getting it all put back. I am breaking out my holiday clothes this weekend, though. Katie aust4freng <werus wrote: I usually always trim the tree all by myself with Christmas music playing.
