Guest guest
I have not heard of that one. My favorite is A Christmas Story..A good family movie..My 6yr. old loves it. His cousin got a BB gun last Christmas and my son's first response was " your going to shoot your eye out " Karen genny_y2k <genny_y2k wrote: Donna, I took my then 12 yr. old grand daughter to the theatre to see Badder Santa..Apx. two minutes into the movie I said " let's go " ..She said " good idea " ..I had a heck of a time explaining to her parents. Guest guest
Miracle on 34th street was first done in black and white in 1947, I think. The origional file was one of the first movies that was painted over to make it color. Since then it has been redone with new actors in real color, but I still love the old black and white version. It was released in the UK with the name of " The Big Heart " , I think. It isn't a cartoon, so real little kids may not like it, but the story is about a little girl, so kids maybe 5 and up can get into it. Guest guest
Primary films I like to see over this season: Scrooge, aka A Christmas Carol, 1951 version with Alistair Sim It's A Wonderful Life, 1946 Miracle on 34th Street, 1947 Secondary: The Nightmare Before Christmas, 1993 DVD's just release of Scrooge and It's A Wonderful Life with original B & W versions plus a color version. I plan to watch both b & w and color this year. Gary
Guest guest
I actually like Charlie Brown's Christmas, It's a wonderful life, and the new How the Grinch stole Christmas. Guest guest
Ah yes, White Christmas is good too. White Christmas and Holiday Inn are an interesting pair. Ah, I have We're No Angels on DVD. Great film. The Bishop's Wife, 1947, also excellent. Many good films in this list! I'll have to go refamiliarize myself with all of them! With my daughter's kindergarten Christmas concert it fills an entire 6 hour tape. Unfortunately the tape is getting rather worn, so I m working on getting new copies of all of them. Last year my granddaughter and I watched them all, plus Sound of Music. And we spend a lot of time listening to Sirius Christmas music too. Have you looked into getting them transferred to DVD. Guest guest
I'd love to do that, but not economically feasible right now. Oh well, I'm managing to find all of them coming up thanks to AOL's TV listings. They have a complete listing of all the Christmas themed movies and shows from Nov. 19th thru Christmas. ---- glpveg4life 11/28/2007 6:35:29 PM Re: Re:] Christmas movies In a message dated 11/27/2007 9:48:01 P.M.
