I have tried this, it's very good. I will take the Tofurky Italian sausage and

saute with onions, garlic and re bell pepper, add a little spaghetti sauce and

put in a submarine roll, or the center of mashed potatoes, on top of ricer toss

with pasta.

faux sausage

I love the tofurkey beer sausage on a bun with mustard and sauerkraut. It's like

comfort food to me and reminds me of Oktoberfest.

I shall try this. Sounds great. I usually have Boca sausages with

scrambled eggs.

I love the Boca Italian sausages. We'll cut them up and put in spaghetti or

pasta or I'll just heat them up and have them on a roll. I never do manage

to get onions and peppers cooked with them, but I keep planning on it!

So far we can only get the sweet Italian ones here. I'm going to make a

list though and talk to the manager at the store near me where I do most of

my shopping and ask if he can get some of these other substitutes. They're

building a Walmart Neighborhood Market across the intersection from the

store, so they might be more willing to order some things. And as one of

the few vegetarians they have shopping there, I'm tired of not having much

choice! I have his name now, all I have to do is make the list.

While I don't care for the faux sausage, I have found that if I pile a lot

of " stuff " on them....they are pretty good. Lots of onions and mustard.

Or green peppers and onions, with hot mustard. LOL

Of course, you can't taste the sausage. Haha
