Guest guest
Steph maybe if he decided to stop vegetarianisn he can eat meat outside of the house. He really needs to be truthful with himself and the family. I do know several people who have bounced in and out of the veg path and I would say 90% of the ones I know go on a binge and return to us. Could be like my situation with cigarettes, I had to quit and start and quit again several times to get it right. Don't stress over it, could be a passing thought he has too. Better get some of those vegetarian riblets and make those for him with mashed potatoes. Maybe he is lacking the meat texture. Give it a try. We have been veggie for 3 years but lately every time a meat commercial comes on or we go to a restaurant my husband drools over the meat. I personally think my hubby is just doing it for me. So we are at a crossroad at my house. I said to him why don't you eat meat when we go out to dinner but he doesn't want to confuse the kids. Has anyone experienced this change of heart? =^.^= Steph Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search.

Guest guest
I went through this with my husband, when I recently decided to be a vegetarian. After about a week, my husband wanted meat..He was only doing it for me. My 6yr. old son still had a small amount of meat in his diet. I had decided not to get him just eat a vegetarian diet..He doesn't eat much meat so I wasn't too concerned..He eats a lot of fruit and vegies anyway.. I think that it is a personal decision for each person to decide what they want in their diet. I told my husband that if he wanted to eat meat that was fine with me.. He eats my meals, but will also eat meat when he has the occasion.. I also have a friend that went through the same thing with her husband. He lasted about 3 weeks.. Guest guest
Even after 19 years (is my maths right? I became veggie when I was 11 and I'm 30 now) I still love the smell of bacon cooking! I'd never go back to eating meat but if I do go back to eating meat then it will be bacon that turns me! It sounds to me (and I can only go by what I would do) like you need to sit down with hubby and say to him what you've said to us then when your hubby has worked out what he wants to do I reckon you should both sit down with the kids and explain what hubby has said to you and let them know you will respect their decisions whatever they decide to do Stay Safe Mandy You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person. Guest guest
We have a pizza buffet in our town. When we go there, (which isn't often) I opt for the veggie pizza. But, my husband always picks something with meat. I don't say anything. He knows! And as pizza is his favorite food, I just don't say anything. Of course, I don't have any kids to confuse. Guest guest
I agree that there are some bumps along the road. All of us have our own reasons for going veg, and some reasons aren't passionately felt. I have no second thoughts, but I see some members of my family have slides at times. Guest guest
Sounds like you need to talk to the kids for sure. That is funny that you said (Mandy) that bacon would be what could turn you. I agree! It's the one meat I miss, And there are days where I feel like I felt physically better having some hard core animal protein and was thinner but I've learned too much along the way and don't want to go back to meat. , " Mandy " <mandy2uk wrote: > > Even after 19 years (is my maths right?
