Guest guest
I have never heard of a vegetarian diet causing this. We are not a medical group so make sure you see a doctor for blood tests if needed. I take Rainbow Light vegetarian friendly multi vitamins every other day. Donna Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile " holly.bringard " <holly.bringard Fri, 14 Dec 2007 17:22:26 supplements. hi guys. do you know which vitamin supplements i should take? i bruise easily too. is that from not eatting meat? Guest guest
-Donna, I noticed that you take your multi-vitamin " every other day " . This is an excellent way to take them so you do not take more than what is needed. Not a problem but the system just 'washes them right down the drain'.LOL (urinary and fecal elimination). Depending on what I am eating at the time I might not take mine for several days. As an example if I have an abundance of fruits and veggies with C vit. no sense in taking extra C. In the winter months with lack of sunshine our bodies need more D vit. etc. I also take colodial minerals maybe once a month. But I do take Flax seed oil daily and started trying 'Limu' daily. My daughter gave me a bottle to try. Once we become attuned to our bodies we can tell right away what we need. And not every thing works well for all of us. Make a rewarding , peaceful, day Sending smiles and hugs your way Deanna in Colorado ********************************************************************** -- In , thelilacflower wrote: > > I have never heard of a vegetarian diet causing this. Guest guest
I take Source of Life Chewables without iron (every other day) Vitamins are chemicals and while being deficient is bad, overdoing its bad too (even the water solubles). I've been tired, lost hair, had dry skin at times due to unhealthy vegetarianism, but never bruised. Sounds like you need to see a doc, it could be lots of things causing it, better to be safe and get it taken care of. melissa P , thelilacflower wrote: > > I don't feel good on vitamins if I take them daily so I believe one every other day is all I need if I even need that. > I eat a variety of healthy foods so I'm sure I'm not lacking. > 2 times a week I drink an Emer Gen C packet. > Smiles > Donna > Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile > > > " genny_y2k " <genny_y2k > > Fri, 14 Dec 2007 18:18:05 > > Re: supplements. > > > -Donna, > I noticed that you take your multi-vitamin " every other day " . Guest guest
I bruise easily as well and do not eat meat, but my mom eats meat and she also bruises very easily, so no, I do not think vegetarianism causes this. It it not likely to be serious, it depends on your skin coloration, how close to the skin surface are your blood vessels and things like that. The amount of supplements depends on how much of the required nutrients your diet provides. The only one I know for sure you are not likely to get (with a vegan diet) is B12, everything else you can get from food. A lot of folks take suplements just as 'insurance' in case they are missing a bit of something from their food. If you are on a calorie restricted diet then it is almost sure you are not getting all the nutrients so in this case yes, supplement. , " holly.bringard " <holly.bringard wrote: > > hi guys. do you know which vitamin supplements i should take? i bruise > easily too. is that from not eatting meat? >
Guest guest
Eat whole wheat breads and drink a hot glass of water with a Tablespoon of golden Miso in it. Both have the B vitamins in it. If you eat dairy and eggs, they also have the B vitamins in them. Judy - jan4ha Friday, December 14, 2007 2:44 PM Re: supplements. I take Centrum chewables.
