Boy did this comment ring true with me. I don't entertain any more but we used

to have huge family gatherings and DH could be depended on to clean the garage

every single time. I think it was his way of keeping out of the harms way. He

never got asked to do anything indoors because he was way too busy.

Have a great Christmas

That is my husband all over. Whenever company is due, he cleans his

office. It stunned me the first time it happened, I was killing

myself trying to clean the rest of the house. He has never failed

since to spend days cleaning a place no one will ever see so he is

too busy to help in areas where I could really use some.

Finally, I have stopped killing myself, if someone cares, don't

come. I do the best I can alone.

Have a great holiday!

Most men have a den, my husband's for years has been such a horrible mess that I

refer to it as his lair. He cleans it exactly once every 2 years, just before

his mother comes to visit. LOL Men are so predictable. LOL

Oh I SO wish we had a den to stick his stuff in, but our place is an itty bitty

740 square feet. We bought it about 25 years ago because of the 300+ year old

live oak tree in the front yard. You wouldn't have believed what it was like

with one bathroom, 2 adults and 7 teens living here. If I wasn't doing laundry

I was cooking or doing dishes. Two dozen cats and 4 big dogs make a LOT less

mess than the kids did, lol!

Funny about how your husband person does his den before his mother comes. One

of our kids would wait till my mother was about an hour away from here and he'd

pull everything out of the junk closet. I can't imagine where he got THAT habit

from.

Ah well, I've had the original husband person now for 40 years, so I guess

I'll keep him.

Hugs and Happy happy holidays! Jeanne in GA
