Guest guest
Your welcome Audrey, I tried them last week myself and they were awesome. Becky ---- Audrey Z Burrows 12/24/2007 12:39:39 PM Vegetarian group Asian Meatballs - delicious I don't know who posted the recipe for the Asian Meatballs but thank you, thank you, thank you. I made them this morning to take to a family gathering on Wednesday. The veg friendly menu was revised to suit someone on the Atkins diet and the veggie lasagna was replaced with meat balls and a tray of cold cuts. There will be salads but I know the Caesar salad will not be vegetarian and the pasta salad will have shrimp in it so my choices were rather slim. I now have a casserole of meatballs that will taste way better than the store bought ones that are being served. I will put a sign on them saying vegetarian " and they will be avoided like the plague. LOL. After I've had my serving of them, I'll take down the sign and see what happens. I think the flesh eaters would be surprised at how good they are. Of course I may have trouble keeping from eating them between now and Wednesday. They are delicious!!! One funny note from years ago. We had company and I cooked some chicken breasts for them. The company kept asking what was in the chicken. I would say chicken. They would then " NO, what is the chicken made of " . I finally had to describe in great detail the components of real chicken pieces, including salmonella, before they would even taste it. Once I gave them the gruesome details, they were quite happy to eat it. DUMB!!! I have never served anything to anyone that they could possibly object to but they hear the word vegetarian and they instantly think weird and scary food.
