I am not a New York member I live in Connecticut however back on

Thanksgiving weekend my daughter and I ate at Candle Cafe on 79th and

Lexington. I

highly recommend them.

Any NY members here? I would like to go out to a vegan restaurant with

some fellow vegans.

There's an awesome veggie joint in brooklyn called Veggie Castle and they serve

veggie soul food..last time I was there I had bbq tofu, turnip greens, mac n

cheese and had à tasty cucumber shake...its like vegan soulful meets jumba

juice!!! Its in flatbush bk...

I live in Western NY - and there is no restaurant around here worth eating

in. There is a great veggie restaurant in Ithaca, NY, which is in the

Finger Lakes area. It's a great restaurant and I've been there only once

for lunch, as it's a 3 hour drive for me to get there. The person who

started the restaurant - Molly Katzen - has several Moosewood cookbooks out,

of which I have several and highly recommend.
