Redi-Burger Worthington review

One of our sweet moderator's Judy send me a few canned

Worthington products to try. I haven't used any of

their products for several years and back then I

didn't care too much for them. I tried the

Redi-Burger in a can, and it's delicious. You pop

this tube out of the can and slice it. I had a burger

yesterday and one today and the others I sliced and

froze. I also have to eat my words, this is one great

product. I will try the other two products and post a

review. I don't see a toll free number or link posted

on the can label. Judy probably has it for us.

Oooh! I have a Worthington question! This is about the Stakelets,

though... Has anyone tried these? Any cooking tips??? I came across

a box today at Whole Foods Market (the only box left!) so I figured

I'd try them. =)

I have purchased the frozen ones, is that what you are referring to? My DH and I

don't particularly care for them. I would much rather use Morningstar Farm

grillers or crumbles and make my own patties to cook with mushrooms and gravy.

Yes - the frozen ones - Thank you! I am not sure we will like them

either; I typically use the Morningstar or Yves ground crumbles as

well, but I just figured they looked interesting.

Donna I'm so glad you enjoyed this product and gave it another try. Thanks for

your review of this delicious product.

Here is the Worthington/Loma Linda Meat Substitute website for their products.

Our family LOVES these products and I've used most all of them. I buy them by

the cases and save a lot of money. There are frozen and canned products,

which is great because they have a wonderful shelf life. They taste great, make

for quick meals and there are recipes on the site for using the products. There

are also some recipes in the Substitutes for Meat recipe folders, under " not

cow " and " not chicken " and " hot dog " sub folders. Also there are some in the

casserole recipe files.

http://www.kelloggs.com/brand/worthington/

The Rediburger is on the site above, if you click on canned products.

It is available at Adventist Book Center Health food Stores world wide. For

store locations and then on the store locator on the side bar

http://www.adventistbookcenter.com/ The health food store items are not listed

on the website, but the health food store are extensive and wonderful. They

carry a huge variety of canned, frozen, dried and refrigerated products of meat

substitutes, meat substitute seasonings and things like tofuitti better than

cream cheese and sourcream, sovex(like vegemite), agar agar, veganaise, and so

much more........

You can buy the individual products packages/jars, cans, or buy buy the case.

I also buy the cases of the canned Worthington /Loma Linda meat substitute

products off of Amazon They have GREAT PRICES, free shipping and no sales tax.

Here is the Rediburger that Donna gave the review on.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AYDFUI/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

It is a delicious easy to use product. I use it to slice and

fry/bake/microwave as burgers and in my Vegetarian " Meatloaf " recipe in the

substitutes for meats recipes under the " not cow " subfolder.

For info about other Meat Substitutes and Meat Substitute Seasonings, go to the

files on the home page and click on Info for New Vegetarian and then click on

the Meat Substitute folder.

These products allow us to be able to make most any of our favorite recipes,

they are quick products to use and taste delicious. I'm so thankful they are

available.
