faux chicken stock

I found a product by Osem in the Kosher section of my grocery. It is called

consumme and contains no chicken anything. It is in powdered form and is the

basis for many of my recipes.

 

Osem also makes a powdered vegetable soup which is great also. However, it has

those nasty little bits of dry vegetables (not too many) in the mix. I only use

this when I am adding some tvp chick to it.

I use consumme, too - we love it! Nearby to where I live is a town

with a very high Hasitic Jewish population, and I find really

interesting things in their stores! And I had to laugh because we

also avoid the veggie stock with the dried veggie bits in it!!!
