Guest guest
Hi again all I was wondering if any of you owned a soymilk maker.I am thinking of getting the SoyQuick Automatic Soymilk Maker with tofu press. It doesnt seem that hard.Do any of you have one or make it yourself? Could any of you recommend if this is a good item to buy?Or could I just make this without a proper electrical maker? It would be lovely to make my own milk, yogurt,ice-cream and tofu. At least then I know what is in my products. Any suggestions would be greatful. Thankyou Amanda PS. Thank you for the replies about the steamer.I have tried the Steamed Bulgar Wheat with Herbs and Lemon it was lovely.Although I Substituted the sultanas with red kidney beans.Tasted really good.Thank you Christie
Guest guest
Hi Amanda, I have a SoyaJoy soy milk maker, and both my partner and I love it. Everyone who owns a SoyQuick machine seems very, very happy with it, too. I know I've seen people discussing making soy milk without a machine here before, so I imagine you'll get some knowledgeable answers on that. (I tried making nut and grain milks pre-machine, and I could never get a consistency that I liked. Since soy milk seemed a little fussier than most, I didn't try ) I haven't tried making tofu, but the tofu I eat is locally made, and the taste difference is huge. (Very yummy!) Yogurt's our next project, too Peace, Maureen mr.mrstwoods wrote: > Hi again all > > I was wondering if any of you owned a soymilk maker.I am thinking of > getting the SoyQuick Automatic Soymilk Maker with tofu press. It doesnt > seem that hard.Do any of you have one or make it yourself? Guest guest
Hi Amanda, Your e-mail got me intrigued with the idea of a machine to make my own. I got the SoyQuick Automatic Soymilk Maker you spoke of. It came in a couple days and works great! I can't imagine making Soy mild or tofu totally by hand. It really is simple with the machine. The first thing I have made is a brick of tofu. It tasted pretty good warm - much better than my 'tofu is like eating rubber' complaint. Today I'll try it after it has been refrigerated, maybe adding it to my Anisazi beans in the crock pot. Does anyone make soymilk by useing a fruit juice instead of the water? I wonder if I could make fruit flavored soy yogurt that way. , " mr.mrstwoods " <mr.mrstwoods wrote: > > Hi again all > > I was wondering if any of you owned a soymilk maker.I am thinking of > getting the SoyQuick Automatic Soymilk Maker with tofu press. It doesnt > seem that hard.Do any of you have one or make it yourself? Guest guest
I'm interested in making soymilk too... mainly to eradicate the carageenan that sneaks into my diet since it causes my hubby to have tummy trouble. as for juice in soymilk.. we used to buy an orange flavored soymilk many years ago... was like an orange julius...worth trying anyway... there was a berry one too.. pretty tasty. good luck withyour soymilk & tofu! =) jennii , " Wendy Jeffries " <salt wrote: > > Does anyone make soymilk by useing a fruit juice instead of the water? > I wonder if I could make fruit flavored soy yogurt that way. >
Guest guest
Oh, yes....I remember those fruit and soymilk drinks....it was by Westsoy, I think...and there were three flavors.... I bet it would be pretty easy to just mix soymilk and choice of juice half and half.... Guest guest
Hi Amanda. I was looking into getting one of these soya milk makers last year but every time I looked for one online it was unavailable in the UK. Are you buying this online in the UK and if so, would you share where you are getting it from?
