Warm Apples with Granola topping

Warm Apples with Granola topping

Love apples and this just makes a good thing a little better.

 

Ingredients

 

1 small apple

2 tablespoons granola

1 packet splenda (to taste)

1/4 tsp. cinnamon (or to taste)

 

Core and dice the apple into large chunks. Top with granola, splenda and

cinnamon. Heat in microwave 1 to 1.5 minutes. Eat warm.

 

For an extra special treat (dessert), add a tablespoon or two of Cool Whip

Free!

 

Number of Servings: 1

Nutritional Info

 

Calories:145.0

Fat: 4.3g

Carbohydrates: 25.7g

Protein: 2.6g

This sounds really good...question though...what brand granola do you

use. I want to use the healthiest possible. I know there are lots of

them out there loaded with sugar and junk. I'm new to the healthy,

vegetarian life style...thanks for your input!

Yum. We made cooked apples last night for supper and because of seeing this

post I topped it with granola. Oh yum...the kiddos munched it all down and

asked for seconds! Thanks!

Nature Valley is one brand

 

I use Quaker low fat Granola bars and crush them up with my food processor. I

have also bought kashi and another granola cereal but right off the top of my

head, you can check out this link. Its where I looked when I was looking for

granola brands when I first got this recipe
