Pennsylvania is in the mid Atlantic states and Altoona is south central PA, but is slightly west. I have been there. I am from Eastern Pennsylvania originally. She lived most of her early life on a farm in Liverpool and cooked for all the farm hands. Her apple pie - I tell you the crust melted in your mouth. I have been gone from there since my youth and have no idea where Altoona is. All my family back there is gone now so probably I will not go there again. I remember my Grandfather's beautiful farm in Liverpool. We used to go every summer.
