Guest guest
Hi Judy, I always save nice glass jars. Many get used for herbal teas that I brew up by the potful, and store in the fridge so I can drink them cold or reheat them when I'm not inclined to brew a fresh pot. I use a piece of freezer tape to label them, since it stays on the glass and is easy to write on. I used a one quart one yesterday for a bag of sauerkraut... why do they package it in plastic bags? Too messy! I also make jewelry, and many glass jars get used for beads and findings. Some of the small fancy ones are nice to fill with snack mixes or flavored nuts to give for little gifts, with a piece of fabric tied over the lid with an elastic band. Our town has mandatory recycling for all glass and metal, and number 1 & 2 plastics, as well as milk cartons, and of course newspapers and magazines. So I don't worry so much about the landfill here. I also compost everything organic, so always have a good supply of rich topsoil. Love & Light, Barbara BarbaraJean1732 **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
They smell so bad my DX wasn't allowed to bring it into the hotel in Phucket. They are banned there inside hotels. The Asian store by me keeps them frozen. I think iot is a sharp ugly smeely fruit but once you taste it, it is bliss. I love the flavor. I want to know who the first person is with courage to even attempt eating this fruit. I heard it is wicked stinky and delicious if you can get past the smell. I have never seen it, only in a Mario game where you have to run around kicking it. ) Blessings, Chanda
Guest guest
I'm one of those who had to try it and believe me the taste out weighs the scent and the scent is BAD lol. Once you take one bite you don't smell it anymore. Donna Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile Sharon Zakhour <sharon.zakhour Thu, 06 Mar 2008 07:44:40 Re: Re: Question of the week That is beyond weird. A big component of taste is smell, so it's hard to believe if it smells icky that it can taste good. Guest guest
It has it's own distinct flavor but it's very tropical like mango and papaya.
