Guest guest
My Son-in-law is a vegan and wants me to make him a veggie loaf. I know there must be some good ideas here for that. Thanks Zelda
Guest guest
This was a favorite recipe that my grandmother would make when she came to visit us, which was often. Smile. Love to eat it right out of the oven hot, but it is also good on a sandwich, sliced and put on hearty homemade Whole Wheat Bread with Mayo/Veganaise the next day. It is good on crackers also. Yours to Enjoy, Judy Meato's 1 cup Peanut Butter 2 16 oz. cans Petite Diced tomatoes with Green Chilies or Jalopeno's 1 tsp. Sage 1 c. Onion, diced 1 tsp. Salt 3/4 c. flour(more or less) Mix all the ingredients, adding the flour until it is thick like cake batter mixture. Put into a sprayed casserole dish. Bake @ 350 for about 1 hr. Check middle for being done. Turn off the oven and leave in a closed oven while until the oven cools off. This will finish it off better. - Zelda Sunday, January 20, 2008 5:46 PM Vegetarian Loaf? Guest guest
Go to the Files on home page and click on Recipes, then Casseroles, Beans & Legumes(as a main ingredient) or Substitutes for Meat and then the sub folders, for " not Cow " , " not chicken " and Soy based non-meat products " and you'll find quite a nice selection of loaf recipes. You've come to a great list to find some delicious recipes and veg. chat. Enjoy, Judy - Zelda Sunday, January 20, 2008 5:46 PM Vegetarian Loaf?
