Guest guest
Sue don't foget that amazon.com and half.com are great resources for used cookbooks, I can't tell you how many good ones I have from those 2 places and the books with shipping end up $3 to $4 dollars total. When I have an extra book I will remember you and you can have it. Donna Sue <kup wrote: Thanks for all the suggestions. I went to Amazon and put several cookbooks in my cart. Then....I thought...wait a minute! Suppose I don't like them? They will go on my book shelf, never to be seen in my kitchen again. So.....I took all the suggestions....put them in a file....printed off the list....and I am heading out early to the library to see what I can find. Someone suggested going to a used book store....No used book store close. And I have really pretty well covered all the thrift store book shelves. Thanks again for the suggestions. sue
Guest guest
Thanks, Donna. The three books that I have in the Amazon cart, so far, are: Vegetarian Times Cookbook @ $1.90 Nikki & David Goldbeck's American Wholefoods Cuisine: @ $3.39 I also was going to put Lean and Luscious and Meatless in the cart....but it was $25 used! And that's all I looked at before deciding to visit the library. sue ---- Donnalilacflower 09/10/06 13:30:12 Re: My new cookbook Sue don't foget that amazon.com and half.com are great resources for used cookbooks, I can't tell you how many good ones I have from those 2 places and the books with shipping end up $3 to $4 dollars total. Guest guest
That's what I do for the most part - go to the library. I have " Vegan with a Vengeance " on hold and although in system, it isn't at library yet. I'll be the first to loan it out. Debbie

Guest guest
Also, while I remember this....I put " Favorite Brand Name - Vegetarian Cooking " in the space on Google and came up with a library systems catalog that will tell me if this book is in my library. Will wonders never cease? BTW...closest copy is 81 miles away. But, still a great site to know about. http://tinyurl.com/oc5g2 Sue of the Mountains. ---- Donnalilacflower 09/10/06 14:26:55 Re: My new cookbookSue try to find a used copy of " Favorite Brand Name - Vegetarian Cooking " It's recipes usning easy to find ingredients, book has lots of pictures and the recipes are good. Guest guest
That's the book. It's the best 64 cents you ever spent. I really enjoy this book also. When I find it I couldn't get over the idea they put a favorite brand name cookbook together for vegetarians. I have one for Italian recipes too but it isn't vegetarian.
