Guest guest
I wonder if some folks are more sensitive to reactions just from touching the tomato plant. I've planted lots of tomato plants over the years, pinched back the suckers, moved branches back inside the tomato cage and never used gloves, never washed my hands right afterwards or had a skin reaction... I plant a variety of tomato plants each year and eat the cherry tomatoes right off the vine, in the garden while harvesting them. I had a terrible rash up my arms. My niece Mya picked one a few years ago and didn't wash it, she ate it off the bush and she got very sick, she had a rash all over her chest and felt dizzy, I took her to the E.R. and the doc said it was the tomato and that you always wear gloves when you handle the bushes and make sure to wash tell real good before you eat them. I have an idea Mya probably ate the little star leaf thingy at the top of the tomato. DOnna --- Katie M <cozycate wrote: > For sure, for sure, do not eat tomato leaves. Guest guest
I never thought about it until I read some of the posts today. My skin is sensitive and I thought maybe Mya ate a tomato that was tainted with a bug spray but it was organic. Makes me wonder now.
