My poor dog :-(

Hi Everyone,

My dog broke her leg this morning. Her foot got tangled in a tree root

that I didn't even realize was there, and I think she got freaked out

and tried to yank her leg free. I heard her yelp, and didn't think she

had damaged her leg that badly until I realized that she couldn't put

any weight on it at all. I took her to the vet, and he X-rayed her and

found a diagonal fracture through her tibia and fibula. Talk about a

freak accident. He sent me to a specialist to do surgery on her leg. He

has to keep her there overnight. I miss my dog. :( She's a 9 month old

Great Pyrenees named Belle. I hope I can get her tomorrow.

Hi Raven

That sounds very nasty. I hope she will recover quickly.

Something like that happened to one of our guinea pigs, except he got it caught in part of his cage and freaked out. My DH wasn't too happy paying to have him fixed up, but he didn't question it at all. They put a splint on him and he looked mighty interesting draggin his leg around for about 6 wks.Raven <cailleachraven86 wrote: Hi Everyone,My dog broke her leg this morning. Raven, Sorry about your dowg, its amazing how you get so attached to an animal, and when they are not around you realy notice it. It sounds as though this is going to cost you an arm and a leg ( no pun intended for once ), I know I have a cat who is on first name terms with our vet ( have to have a day off again this week to take her there ). Hope it all works out for you. The Valley Vegan...............Raven <cailleachraven86 wrote: Hi Everyone,My dog broke her leg this morning.
