Guest guest
I’m a high school teacher. I never ate in the cafeteria, because, well, it’s a school cafeteria. For some reason, I chanced it the other day. I waited in an interminable line. When I got to the front, I asked the cafeteria worker if there were vegan/vegetarian choices. She pointed to the potato chips. <sound of hysterical laughter> Cynthia
Guest guest
Did you expect anything different? The only way they will learn is by people asking for vegan/vegetarian food, or lobbying the schools / local councils....When I was young I never ate any school meals my entire life! I was lucky enough to live close enough to two of the schools and went to a relatives house at the other! That must be a record? Guest guest
Hi Cynthia, Tis the story of my life - lol Sorry they do not have any choices for you there. Perhaps you can contact the company that runs the cafeteria and ask them to at the very least add in salads. Let them know that they are discriminating against you. Good luck! Guest guest
I always had school dinners (was an omnivore then, so didn't have any problems) and the dinners were always very tasty. Guest guest
That's a shame. Colin was just saying how much he enjoyed the school dinners as well (we went to different first schools, same secondary). The desserts were delicious as well.
